The Barkcloth Center is a multidisciplinary hub established by Xenson Art Space to strengthen and advance Uganda's barkcloth industry. It brings together artisans, researchers, designers, policymakers, development partners, and the private sector to drive innovation, skills development, sustainable production, and market access.
By bridging indigenous knowledge with contemporary enterprise, the Center positions barkcloth as both a cultural heritage material and a globally relevant economic asset.
